Steal Your Way to Success 🔪: Lana Haddad
One of the most common questions people ask us is: How can I find a mentor?
Let me give you a little secret…
Not every person who is a mentor to you needs to be giving you something.
Sometimes you have to STEAL IT….
I NEED YOU TO START STEALING.
Find someone who has everything you ever wanted. Not just materialistic things but purpose and happiness as well then…
STEAL their thoughts.
STEAL their secrets.
STEAL their words.
STEAL their actions.
STEAL their blueprints.
STEAL their tactics.
STEAL their daily routine.
STEAL every attribute of theirs that you admire.
It’s simple, find someone who has a blueprint of what you want and from there, do what they do, say what they say, and you will get what they have.
In school they told us not to copy our classmates and that it was wrong to steal their answers. Don’t get me wrong, I agree with this statement 100% and I always loved education so I did study for all of my classes and do my best on every test. We are tested in school to judge how well we know information. Now in the real world, I don’t agree with this concept at all.
COPY CAT YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS.
Think of the world as your classroom and to get an A on the test of life, just copy the smartest kid in class. Copy the winners, the CEO’s, the go getters, the fulfilled, the lovers, the executors, and the people who are so purpose driven in life that success is like a magnet into their world. Now, you guys might think this is wrong, but it couldn’t make more sense to me. There is nothing wrong in copying your mentor; WHY? Because it will prompt you to develop the mindset and attitude you need to achieve success. In order to be successful in business and life, we have to be able acquire certain characteristics and willing to unlearn certain behaviors. Copying does not mean stealing someone’s identity or losing your own identity. It simply means imitating what is proven to work, and if it worked for them it will work for you.
The reason why I am stressing this so much is because this concept completely changed my life. When I was in my first business venture with Direct Sales, I was shy, awkward, and never spoke to anyone. No one ever believed that I was making money because I almost never spoke a word. And one event I saw a speaker in front of the room with 5,000 people in the audience; he had the same story and background as me. This opened my eyes to the fact that my story was not unique and I’m sorry to tell you that yours isn’t either; The only real difference between the speaker and I was that he had no fear of sharing his knowledge in front of the room. By noticing this and having the desire to have a more powerful and fulfilled life, I took notes of what he did and slowly but surely made the necessary changes in my life to achieve my goals.
I realized then that I had to be, do, and say exactly what other people who had what I wanted were doing. I knew that being shy was beyond selfish and on top of that downplaying my abilities was costing me so much. I didn’t have a mentor to directly teach me their secretes to success, or to hold my hand and walk me through the obstacles I had to overcome. So I sought out the knowledge from people who were providing it, our world today is filled with endless knowledge, its our job to find it.
So what did I do? I went to conventions, invested into books, bought different courses, and just studied the people who I aspired to become. An exercise I used to do is to imagine what your mentor would do in any given situation I tried my best to copy their thought process until I could have conversations with my mentors and get their opinions in my head. the key is to find the right mentor.
